Booking terms

Draft prepared 1 September 2026.

These terms apply once you book a trip with Tulia Vacations Ltd. Please read them alongside our cancellation and refund policy.

Making a booking

An enquiry is not a booking. We will send you a written quotation and itinerary. A booking is confirmed only when you have accepted it in writing and we have received the deposit.

The person making the booking confirms they are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of everyone travelling in the party.

Payment

A deposit of [percentage] of the trip cost is required to confirm a booking. The balance is due [number] days before departure. Bookings made within [number] days of departure require payment in full.

Prices are quoted in [currency]. Where a supplier prices in another currency, the rate applied is the one in force on the date of invoice. If payment is not received by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled by you.

[All bracketed figures above must be set by Tulia Vacations Ltd. Note that the currency setting in the booking system requires correction before any price is published.]

What is included

Your itinerary sets out exactly what is included and excluded. Unless stated otherwise, prices exclude international flights, visa fees, travel insurance, optional activities, drinks, personal expenses and gratuities.

Passports, visas and health

You are responsible for holding a valid passport, the correct visas and any required vaccinations. We provide visa consultation and will advise on requirements, but the obligation to meet entry conditions rests with the traveller. We are not liable for costs arising from being refused entry or boarding.

Travel insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of booking. Cover should include medical treatment, emergency evacuation, cancellation and baggage. Safari and mountain itineraries may require specific cover, including evacuation from remote areas.

Changes by you

We will do what we reasonably can to accommodate changes after confirmation. Some suppliers permit changes at no cost, others do not. Any supplier charges plus an administration fee of [amount] will be passed on.

Changes by us

Itineraries occasionally have to change for reasons outside our control, including weather, road conditions, park closures, flight schedule changes and accommodation being unavailable. Where this happens we will provide an alternative of equivalent standard, and where a significant change materially affects your trip we will discuss the options with you.

Safety and conduct

Wildlife viewing, trekking and water activities carry inherent risks. You agree to follow the instructions of your guide and of park authorities at all times. We may decline to carry a traveller whose conduct endangers themselves or others, without refund.

Complaints

If something is wrong during your trip, tell your guide or consultant immediately so it can be addressed while you are still travelling. Complaints raised after return are harder to resolve. Any complaint should be submitted in writing within [number] days of your return.

Liability

We accept responsibility for arranging your trip with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent suppliers, nor for events amounting to force majeure. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by Kenyan law.
